Whilst performing in Durban in 1976 a Photo shoot by a relatively unknown photographer produced five Iconic Photo’s which were enlarged, coloured and fixed to large boards by the Photographer and his students. Each board was 1,7m x 1,2m in size and provided a magnificent onstage backdropwhen and wherever we performed.

The centre board, which was of the full group became the Iconic picture that has been on many “Silver Creek Mountain Band “ posters and T shirts for the last 40 or so years.
On the bottom left hand corner of this board you will find the name of the photographer “ObieOberholzer” and the completion date of these boards, 1976.
Obie has gone on to be recognised as one of South Africa’s most acclaimed Photographers and also has a large international following.

These boards have resided with us throughout the last 40 or so years and have moved around the country when and wherever we have relocated.
Rod and Dennis, the last two surviving founder members of the band, have now decided that it is time to offer these up to anyone who may be interested in acquiring one or more of these iconic Pictures. We consider them to be part of South Africa’s Music and more specifically Acoustic Music History as “Silver Creek” is one of the countries longest surviving music groups.
